COmpass Resonance Ensemble, CORE comprises instrumentalists and vocalists who speak the vocabulary of baroque, classical, romantic, and post-romantic musical styles, at home with period and modern instruments. This ensemble has performed 500 years of repertoire at Boulder Bach Festival, including new work, collaborations with dance, and many first-ever period instrument performances in the State of Colorado, from pre-Bach to Brahms, Chopin, and beyond. 

Our Fellowship Artist Initiative, FAI has offered many young professional musicians, including graduate students and Doctor of Musical Arts candidates professional development opportunities. Since the inception of this initiative in 2016, BBF Fellows have expanded their horizons by winning positions in renowned period and modern ensembles from New York and Boston to Los Angeles and San Francisco, in addition to winning competitions internationally.

BBF's initiative caters opportunities specifically to each musician.
