nicholas recuber, double bass

Nicholas Recuber is the Assistant Principal Bass for the Colorado Symphony. Previously he served as Principal Bass of the Santa Barbara Symphony, has made guest appearances with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, San Francisco Symphony, and spent two years as a fellow in the New World Symphony. Mr. Recuber appears as Principal Bass with the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra on their 2019 recording “Music for Violin and Orchestra,” and with the Boulder Bach Festival on their 2023 eponymous recording. Recuber is also at home in jazz and pop worlds having performed with such artists as Gregory Porter, Cynthia Erivo, Ingrid Michaelson and Steve Vai. In 2023 Mr Recuber toured with Nathaniel Rateliff for his “A Little Touch of Rateliff-  the Songs of Harry Nilsson.” Mr Recuber also teaches at Denver University as an Adjunct Professor.
