Season Opening Concert: Concertos and Chorales Contextualized

Boulder Bach Festival Chorus, Strings, Vocal Quartet, and Instrumental Soloists take you on a journey through the history of chorales, in settings for Organ, Strings, and Choirs of varying sizes. Zachary Carrettin and Maureen Murchie lead the chamber orchestra as violin and viola soloists in the adored Concerto for Two Violins (BWV 1043), and Brandenburg Concerto #6 (BWV 1051).

Journey to Vienna with Mario Aschauer and Friends

Straight from Vienna, virtuoso harpsichordist Mario Aschauer is joined by Zachary Carrettin on his Cello da Spalla and on baroque violin, performing sonatas and glorious arias, and accompanying renowned soprano soloist Jennifer Bird-Arvidsson in an intimate exploration of rarely-heard, beautiful works from the Austrian baroque.

Boulder Bach Festival Chorus, mezzo-soprano soloist Clea Huston, and the BBF Chamber Orchestra close the season with a glorious and sparkling program of Bach, Handel, and Vivaldi. You’ll hear the fantastic motet, Der Geist hilft unser Schwachheit auf (BWV 226), a handful of the most gorgeous arias you’ve ever heard, magnificent choruses that stir the soul, and passionate instrumental works which exhibit the musical connections between J.S. Bach, Handel, and Vivaldi.


Free admission to three symposia, featuring Bach scholars and musical artists in discussion. Dates and venues will be sent to you once you’ve purchased your subscription tickets.

Reserved seating: the prime seats are reserved for you! Our music director examines each venue and blocks off rows which aurally and visually offer the most enhanced audience experience and engagement.
